Quince años de estabilidad en la conversión de votos en asientos de la diputación federal en México (2009-2024)
Son dos los sistemas “puros” de formación de la representación en las asambleas: el de mayoría relativa, por el que el primer lugar se lleva el asiento en disputa, favoreciendo la formación de mayorías; y el de representación proporcional, por el que cada contendiente obtiene los asientos que le corresponde según su votación, que disminuye la viabilidad de formación de mayorías. El dilema que resulta de la puesta en práctica de estos sistemas ha llevado al establecimiento de sistemas mixtos que buscan un equilibrio. En México, desde 1977, se han adoptado diversos sistemas con carácter compensatorio o esquema paralelo que topa la sobrerrepresentación.
