Gerrymandering y votante hispano en Estados Unidos: desafíos para las elecciones intermedias de 2026
El comportamiento electoral de los votantes latinos/hispanos en las elecciones presidenciales de 2020 y 2024 continúa siendo objeto de debate político en los Estados Unidos. Considerando su posible impacto en las elecciones de 2026, es un asunto crucial tanto para el partido en el poder, como para la oposición, dados los desafíos actuales que enfrentan las instituciones democráticas del país. Las deficiencias del Partido Demócrata entre este electorado clave en bastiones históricos son particularmente relevantes, considerando los avances que el Partido Republicano ha logrado, suscitando una discusión sobre las identidades del elector latino/hispano y el impacto de su comportamiento electoral en la crisis de la democracia estadounidense. En este escenario, la consolidación del apoyo electoral de este bloque parece lo suficientemente sólida como para emprender una agresiva campaña de gerrymandering en estados clave, rediseñando el mapa de distritos electorales para ampliar su margen en la Cámara de Representantes.
